Seattle Mountain Rescue is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization with a vision that “Everybody comes home from the backcountry.” Our team of seasoned alpine climbers specialize in mountain rescue using rope rescue, remote medicine, snow and avalanche skills, drones, and search techniques. Each year we average 100 calls for help in King County and surrounding areas. Support our all-volunteer organization in bringing outdoor enthusiasts home.

What Your Donation Could Do

- $25 – Rattlesnake Ledge Supporter Level Provide hydration and nutritional fuel for our command vehicle. Your gift helps keep both rescue subjects and volunteers strong during and after missions.
- $50 – Mount Si Supporter Level Support the upkeep of our Mountain Rescue Center. A well-maintained base ensures we’re always ready to respond at a moment’s notice.
- $100 – Mount Teneriffe Supporter Level Equip our teams with rescue kits for technical lowers and raises. These tools are essential for navigating steep, dangerous terrain safely.
- $250 – Mailbox Peak Supporter Level Fund physical or psychological first-aid training for one volunteer. Proper training prepares our members for the mental and physical demands of rescue work.
- $500 – Granite Mountain Supporter Level Provide a uniform for one team member. Durable base layers, jackets, and rain gear keep volunteers protected in extreme conditions.
- $1,000 – Guye Peak Supporter Level Supply field radios and communication systems. Reliable communication ensures rescuer safety and better care for those in need.
- $5,000 – Avalanche Mountain Supporter Level Deploy a field drone to locate lost subjects quickly. When every second counts, drones can dramatically speed up searches and improve rescue outcomes.
Seattle Mountain Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization under “Mountain Rescue Council” with EIN 91-6049880. We are run by dedicated, highly trained volunteers that do not charge for any services. We rely heavily on donations to financially support our organization.
